I have an idea to put add-on battery to my hybrid car, to make car go longer with batteries, and charge that in night time from plug. I dont have technical skills to do that, but open this thread to make discuss about that. Idea is to put some large battery in trunk, what can be taken away if needed. Car is normally used only for 60km / day and this would be really good for daily usage. And when you need that space from trunk to carr some payload, just get battery away from there temporary to get that task completed.
There is challenges about how hybrid car logic is charging battery, and control when engine starts. Also suitable battery / charging components fitting in concept. If somebody skillful enough can boost this topic, and tell is this idea any how doable. Car is Lexus hybrid car what is basically same as Toyota.
